THE FIRST CREATIVE ODYSSEY OF MU:N PROJECTS

This series was shaped by Mu:n's first creative experiment, the Artemis Odyssey. For nearly two years, this project brought together a community of experts and enthusiasts to collectively reinvent the moon phase.

Artemis No. 51 bears witness to this shared vision, to a forward march guided by collective intelligence.

A CREATION IMAGINED TO CROSS THE AGES

With subtle touches of blue on a satin white dial, Artémis 51 reinterprets the codes of traditional moon phases. The overall composition is intended to be refined and discreet, in order to leave its place to the lunar star.

Born from the first creative experiment Mu:n, its issue echoes Isaac Asimov's work, Foundation , published in 1951.

A FINELY RHODIUM -PLATED MOON DISC

Against a sky painted a slightly satiny midnight blue, the disc reveals fully rhodium-plated stars and a moon. This rare metal with white glow has a very high reflective power, which gives the star all its glow.

Made in Switzerland, the disc is powered by a 59-tooth mechanism, which requires adjustment only every two and a half years. It allows you to accurately follow the lunar cycles over 29.50 days on a daily basis.

AN ODE TO ASTRONOMIC PRECISION

The dial offers six time readings on a refined composition: seconds, minutes, 12 and 24 hours, solar day and moon age.

A railway scale frames the central window and allows you to accurately track the age of the moon over 29.50 days. In response to the lunar day,

the 13 - 24 hour graduation, thought of in intervals, offers a reminder of the 24 hour solar day.

A BEADED AND PAPER SPIRAL FINISH

Visible through a sapphire glass case back, anti-reflective treatment, the caliber presents the highest degree of finish of the manufactures: pearled plates and bridges, spiraled retracts and barrel, rhodium plating and blued screws.

The oscillating weight is inspired by the Moon XVIII card from the Tarot de Marseille, drawn by Jean Dodal in the 17th century. Reinvented by Mu:n in the form of six coats of arms in bas-relief, each allegory is affixed to a decoration with a specific finish.

Two wolf dogs, a tower, a crayfish, as well as the Moon and its rays are laser engraved on a fully decorated skeleton mace.

The workshops behind this edition

This first edition was produced in partnership with Franco-Swiss workshops, combining traditional knowledge and state-of-the-art technology.

More than simple suppliers, they give life to the editions and accompany the Mu:n projects in their totality, from research to development.

Founded in 1950 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Sellita began as an assembler of mechanical movements. The company then moved towards the design and production of its own range of movements, before establishing itself over the years as a true pillar of the Swiss watch industry.

Partners of Mu:n Projects since October 2020, Sellita manufactures are in charge of development and production_11100000-0000- 0000-0000-000000000111_SW200 automatic movements.

Founded in 1970, PH Saner SA has lived and breathed watchmaking. From a small family workshop specializing in the winding of mechanical movements, the company was buoyed by the Quartz boom of the 1980s. With its own production site, the workshop returned to its core business in the early 2000s, heralding the return of mechanical movements.

The workshop has been supporting Mu:n projects since April 2022. It is the guarantor of the Swiss Made label, and controls the entire assembly chain: from movement modifications to after-sales service.

It is love at first sight

I have to say, in this day and age of watchmaking where homage and reissues are cluttering the enthusiasts option, this watch is like a breeze of fresh air, putting the foundational charm of watch making back on the centre stage. The watch looks even better in person. There is nothing like this in the market and on my wrist.

Creators No. 15

I was able to obtain the Créateurs No. 15 second hand. I am more than delighted with my purchase, the finishes are very clean and the Milky Way very well executed. Small downside for the bracelet buckle, but a big 5/5 overall! Well done
